What is your name?
Leander de Rooij

What is your position at MWP?
Change Agent

What is the reason you decided to work for MWP?
Because at MWP you as an individual are the centre of attention. Everyone’s situation and
circumstance requires the ability to make training or coaching relevant to you. Using
methods as a tool to help people discover who they are as human beings and how to be the
best version of themselves, in every conceivable situation!

What is your guilty pleasure?
Shameless Dreetje Hazes’ – Leef Mee together with my little daughter

Did you know that I …?
Walked a Pilgrimage of 1000 km’s on my own when I was 19 years old I still can’t believe it my self.

If you’re having a bad day; what do you do to make yourself feel better?
Put on my running shoes, climb a dune, choose another dune in the distance and cross it
through.

What is the best advice you have ever received?
That from the age of 14 I have consciously chosen to learn what I was not good at, that my
fear of learning something new no longer slows me down in doing what I want to do.
…OR…
That through the Talkx Foundation – “Speaking Child” I let about 2000 adults listen to more
than 100 stories of children (9 to 14 years old). Where the children touched and inspired the
adults to look at them and the world around them in a different way.

What is your proudest achievement?
Coaching more than 100 children through the Talkx Foundation in telling their personal
story. To hear so many challenges, powerlessness, pain and sorrow and not being able to do
anything about it other than listening diligently. Sincere, unconditional listening stretches
your soul.

What has had an impact on you or has changed you?
Coaching over more than 100 children through the Talkx Foundation. Where they could tell
their personal story. Hearing so many challenges, powerlessness, pain and sorrow and not
being able to do anything about it other than listening diligently.
I think that sincere, unconditional listening stretches your soul.

Which quote is meaningful for you?

Only the lie is vulnerable. Because the truth has nothing to lose.
