BACKGROUND
Trained applied psychologist (HBO), Psychologist (University) and Master in Health Psychology (MSc)

We are for real
During a training called "Courageous Choice", I was asked, "What do you actually think is a courageous choice?" I was silent for a moment and then replied, "I have been dreaming of creating my own website for years, but so far I have only come up with a colour scheme..." This moment of vulnerability gave me a chance to think more deeply about my own fears and ambitions. It taught me that truly being yourself (and then sharing that with others) is a powerful tool for connecting.
We are of the wall
A simple message can sometimes make a world of difference. For example, I often say to my coachees, "Sometimes things are the way they are and you can't change them, but you can influence how you deal with them." This challenge stimulates people to think and find their own unique solutions.
We innovate for tomorrow
I work a lot for the Tax Office, where the motto is "We can't make it more fun, we can make it easier." This motto also perfectly sums up my view on growth and development. Sometimes the process is uncomfortable and maybe not fun, but it is absolutely necessary. Once you rise to the challenge, you notice that things do indeed become easier. The satisfaction you feel after overcoming an obstacle makes it all worthwhile.
We float like a butterfly and sting like a bee
What I like best about team sessions is when I give participants a task that is just a little too challenging to complete within the time set. This brings out people's true behaviour. During these sessions, I let the process take its course, including the mistakes that come with it. When I sense the need, I ask a 'thought-provoking' question. It is wonderful to see how this approach inspires people to reflect more deeply and thereby learn.
We score without compromises
Imagine a giant 20-by-30-metre map of the Netherlands, specially designed so that more than 100 participants can use their own confetti cannon to spread an explosion of 'magic' (or confetti chips) across the Netherlands. Sometimes it is necessary to think big and make ambitious plans, even if they seem difficult to implement. In this way, in this assignment, we achieved the goal of the intervention and gave people an unforgettable experience.
