BACKGROUND
Professional singer & actress, voice therapist and breathing coach

We are for real
As a singer, actress and Voice Liberator, people often have the idea about me that I dare to say and do anything. When I then tell them that nothing human is alien to me, and that I too can be ashamed or feel insecure, people are often surprised and relieved; we don't have to be perfect!
We are of the wall
I have Bolivian and Dutch roots, grew up bilingual and raised in two different cultures. It has given me a sense of not really belonging to anything completely, and the older (and wiser) I get the more it becomes my "superpower"; I am a bridge builder and strive to connect extremes in me and around me.
We innovate for tomorrow
My work is an extension of my personal life; so my working life always moves with what is happening on a personal level. And I take everything I learn in my professional life back into my personal life. This cross-fertilisation ensures that I do not easily stand still and double my desire to keep developing and growing.
We float like a butterfly and sting like a bee
A client comes to me because they want to experience or learn something they don't yet know. So then it is my job to mirror the blind spots and invite them to make another move - I believe this can only be done with a certain firmness and a large dose of compassion.
We score without compromises
With my experience and expertise in voice and the somatic side of coaching, I can often see well where people hold back or (unconsciously). Fooling around. I am willing to follow the client's final pace, as this creates safety for the client in the learning process. And I am willing to be "unkind" if I point out or name things that the client initially feels resistance to - often because something essential is then touched and it is automatically "protected" from old mechanisms.
