Leander de Rooij
Change Agent
BACKGROUND
Facilitator, (Public Speaking) Coach & Learning Experience designer

We are for real
The experience and expertise I have gained over the past few years as a Change Agent gives me a degree of confidence and relaxation in the work I do. But perhaps even more important to me is the ability to not know. Daring to 'not know' creates for me a sincerity, openness and sensitivity to really get to know each other and the organisation.
We are of the wall
I often experience it as uncomfortable to share that I am a pretty dedicated practitioner of (traditional) Yoga and also lead a very earthly life. While it does characterise who I am. I value sensitivity and clarity, towards my surroundings but also towards myself. Especially in hectic, complex and challenging situations, for me 'quality of attention' is a great asset.
We innovate for tomorrow
I have long been searching for an environment and work that suits me. That search led me, among other things, to my 19e walked a hefty Pilgrimage on my own, that I was rejected 6 times for Actor Training, did a course in Systemic Work and attended an intense Yoga silence programme in India. Until Kas asked 'do you want to become a Change Agent?' Apparently, I feel at home in continuous learning and development.
We float like a butterfly and sting like a bee
For me, playfulness and humour add colour to the work I do. When I don't take others (not to mention myself!) too seriously, more space and mildness is created to look at discomfort and uncertainty. That opens the door for real change.
We score without compromises
I often ask myself if I am the right person to make a difference. If I don't believe in something then I start poking around and asking (critical) questions. For me, real change starts with willingness and if there seems to be no genuine willingness, there is a need to discuss that and make choices. Even the difficult ones.
