We are for real

I often say during training: 'Sit with your shit.'
Don't move away from the pain, discomfort or conflict, rather move deeper into it to understand it better. Asking this of people requires taking the lead yourself and being honest about what is going on inside me, as a human being. That also means sharing the vulnerable, difficult themes and emotions.

We are of the wall

Growing up in 't Gooi, I was quickly labelled a 'spoilt brat', which is exactly what I am. But at the same time, it encouraged me to show that I can be autonomous. Add to that a physically disabled mother and a father on the autistic spectrum, and you quickly get a girl who takes care of everything herself. Left home at a young age (17) and led a very itinerant backpacker's existence in between school, studies and work. Seeing the world and recognising other cultures & perspectives has shaped me into an open-minded and 'free' type that doesn't shy away from challenges and takes risks. A healthy dose of self-confidence, yoga, singing in a band and letting go of what others think of me helps. But it took some d-tours... 😉

We innovate for tomorrow

Quite simply, because of my huge passion for this profession and the support of self-development in every human being, it comes naturally. It doesn't feel like an 'endeavour' I always go that extra mile from intuition and interest, learning outside my comfort zone, otherwise t quickly becomes boring or a trick for me.

We float like a butterfly and sting like a bee

At first, I build a safe space in a group, but once it is there, I can "sting" quite a bit, if I feel someone is not showing the back of their tongue and there is more to it, I will continue to ask questions until the honesty comes out. I achieve a lot with humour, alternating the lightness with the depth, simply works better and opens people up.

We score without compromises

For me, scoring means giving my best during training. As Gabor Maté so beautifully says (and has researched), that means not just sharing knowledge as well and clearly as possible and working 'by the book', but much more making the genuine heart connection with the people I work with. When I am with someone with my full empathy, pieces are healed and learned that otherwise don't come in. In this, I want to score time and again without compromise. Always be open and train with feeling and compassion.

In designing training, for me as a Change Agent, this means being completely honest about what I believe a company or team needs to make sustainable change, holding up an honest mirror and not doing a half-assed job.
