Audit academy

KPMG's foundation for tomorrow's leaders.

At KPMG, they understand the importance of constant development. Since 2017, KPMG has partnered with Mind Work Productions to develop the Audit Academy, aimed at strengthening hard skills, soft skills and personal leadership development for audit trainees. 

Every year, about 18 groups of 10-12 trainees start this programme, which covers the first four years of their career at KPMG. During this period, they grow from trainees to supervisors/managers. The programme is jointly developed and presented in learning arch structures, providing clear insight into programme design and alignment with organisational objectives. 

The focus is on personal leadership and the trainees' personal and professional development. It is designed with a combination of physical training days and online intervision sessions where personal case studies are addressed.

Each training session focuses on a specific skill and associated attitude, with self-reflection and recognising limiting beliefs as a central theme. Consistency and repetition are crucial to ensure that the skills learned are reviewed and applied at a higher level. 

The results of the programme are significant. Traineeship participants experience a positive shift in their behaviour. They are better prepared to face challenges and communicate more effectively. As a result, they can tackle challenges more confidently, communicate purposefully and take a proactive role in their own development. This not only leads
