Embedding TenneT's core values in a changing energy sector
TenneT is a leading European electricity transmission system operator operating in the Netherlands and much of Germany. Through their operations on both sides of the border, TenneT plays a crucial role in Europe's electricity supply.
In co-creation with TenneT, we designed and implemented one leadership programme. In the leadership programme, we trained leaders from both Germany and the Netherlands. The aim of the programme was to strengthen leadership skills around Tennet's three pillars: Courage, Connection and Enagement.
The programme covered topics such as: leadership in an international context, working together internationally to meet the major challenges in the energy sector, leadership in a complex environment, psychological safety, personal leadership and vitality.
The leadership programme helps participants become better able to tackle strategic challenges and collaborate across national borders. They are also now better equipped to sustainably motivate and guide their teams in the fast-changing energy sector.
The programme started with living through, understanding and reinforcing the core values. Employees needed to know not only what the core values are, but also how to apply them in their daily work and develop in them.
TenneT is a Dutch-German electricity transmission company and one of the largest operators of high-voltage grids in Europe. The company is responsible for managing and maintaining the electricity grid in the Netherlands and large parts of Germany. TenneT ensures that electricity is safely, reliably and continuously transmitted from producers to regional grid operators and large industrial users.
The company plays a crucial role in the energy transition by investing in renewable energy projects, such as connecting offshore wind farms and developing international electricity connections. TenneT works to future-proof the electricity infrastructure to enable the growing demand for green energy and the integration of renewable sources. With its focus on innovation, reliability and sustainability, TenneT contributes to a stable and green energy supply in Europe.
